ABOUT

The PassionpilOT Company

The PassionpilOT Company is a social enterprise at the intersection of occupational therapy, health systems, and international development. Established in 2021 as a clinical practice, it has evolved into a systems-focused organisation dedicated to improving how families access, understand, and navigate the environments that shape childhood disability and participation.

At its core, PassionpilOT is built on a simple but persistent insight: children thrive when the adults around them are supported not only emotionally, but structurally. Families raising children with disability are often highly capable, informed, and deeply committed — yet routinely required to navigate complex health, education, and disability systems without the frameworks, language, and tools that professionals take for granted.

The PassionpilOT Company works to close that gap. Through practical tools, structured programs, and accessible resources, it translates systems knowledge into usable guidance — supporting families to better understand, navigate, and influence the systems that shape their daily lives.
Your Flight Path is the first in a series of programs designed to place these tools directly into the hands of families, strengthening capability, confidence, and choice at the point of need.

Alongside its family-facing work, PassionpilOT contributes to broader systems change through consultancy in governance, disability-inclusive development, and health and social systems design — based in Canberra, Australia, and operating at the interface of occupational therapy and international development.

About Amie

Amie's professional background spans occupational therapy, health service delivery, and international development, with a consistent focus on one question: how do people navigate the systems that shape their lives, and how can those systems work better for the people within them?

Before becoming an occupational therapist, Amie spent more than a decade in international development, working across systems analysis, governance, and program effectiveness — examining how systems function in practice, whose voices shape decision-making, and why well-designed programs don't always translate into meaningful change.

Today, Amie works as a paediatric occupational therapist, partnering with families of children with disability as they navigate interconnected health, education, disability, and community systems. This clinical work continues to reinforce a familiar reality: families bring deep knowledge and commitment, yet the systems around them are often fragmented, difficult to interpret, and uneven in their accessibility.

Alongside clinical practice, Amie undertakes consultancy in governance, disability-inclusive development, and systems change — bringing together occupational therapy and international development insights to inform more coherent, equitable, and usable systems.

Across all of her work, the objective is the same: improving how systems are designed and experienced, so families can engage with greater clarity, confidence, and agency.
